The Gray Wall-Mill Creek
The Gray wall up Mill Creek in the Bitterroots is an excellent bolted slab climbing area. Although the climbing here is excellent the bolts (two chain links bolted to the rock) are spacy and have seen some weathering over the years so make sure you have your head game under control if you want to climb here. Two ropes, plenty of draws, and a small rack will probably get you up most of these routes.
Directions
Take Route 93 south out of Missoula and take a left when you see a sign for the Mill Creek Trail Head. Follow the signs to the trail head and start hiking. After a while you will cross over the creek on a log bridge. After another 20 minutes of hiking the arete will come in to view. Look for a small trail that starts the scramble up to the base of No Sweate Arete. When you get up to the rock follow the base of the cliff west and keep your eyes peeled for bolts.
