Jarbridge/Bruneau River

Ten years after lusting over a few photos I had seen of the Jarbridge/Bruneau river, i was finally able to go on this adventure. The three day river trip through this stunning basalt river canyon in Southern Idaho was well worth the wait. Photos don’t do this canyon justice, but here are a few…..

Mt Hood

This past weekend I finally got the opportunity to climb Mt Hood. After 6 hrs of skinning and climbing we found ourselves on the summit via the Old Chute Route and were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise. Here are a few photos….

More Gorge Landscapes

The days are finally getting longer here in the Columbia River Gorge after a long dreary winter with no snow. The longer days have allowed me to enjoy a few more sunrises on my way to work…. here are few shots..

A Weekend in the Wallowas

Its been a long warm up to the ski season this year. Its almost February and before this last weekend I only had three days under my belt…but good things come to those who are patient. My good friend Kevin invited Kris, I, and a slew of other friends to stay at his cottage on Wallowa Lake and backcountry ski up on Wing Ridge. The 4 and a half hour drive from Hood River rewarded us with 10 to 12 inches of dry Eastern Oregon Powder. What a great weekend! Here are some shots… Thanks again Kevin!

November/December fun…

November and December have been a blurr…. between fun adventures and working hard it seams to have passed like a freight train. Rain and snow have brought all of the rivers in and I have gotten on the truss a bunch of times… even had one day out with a raft on it. Impressively, they styled all the lines and had no swimmers!

A Little Paddling to Start the Season

Recently I had a couple of friends and family come visit…. My good friend Cory Ryan came from Missoula and we kicked of the winter paddling season by running a couple of laps on the Truss. My dad was also here from New York and I took him on a hike down to Spirit falls on the Little White… here are a few shots…

A Weekend at Smith and a few other Mini Adventures

At last after being here in Hood River for almost a month Kris and I got the chance to have a few days off together. We took this fine opportunity to take a trip down to Smith Rock and the Bend area to do some Climbing and Mountain Biking. Our good friends Jesse and Jenica showed up to enjoy the camping near Smith with us and do a little climbing as well.

After two days of Climbing we headed to Bend and camped near Mt Bachelor. We woke up to ice in the water bottles for the first time of the year, made some breakfast, and headed off to do some Mountain Biking. After experiencing some technical difficulties, (Hence the new bike tire) we chose to hit up Phils Trail. Those Bend folks really know how to build trails. The Mountain Biking on Phils Trail is sweeeet… I highly reccomend it.

I have also included a few more landscapes taken locally here in The Columbia River Gorge. The amount of amazing places to go and things to see around here is unbelievable.

Movin….

Well after a long month of hard work and mini epics I have relocated my self to Hood River, OR. Over the last month I haven’t had too many outside adventures but have had some great opportunities to photograph my new playground. Here are some of my favorite shots from the last month…

A Trail Run Up Bear Creek…

After a lazy morning this past Sunday I took Trinity up to Bear Creek to get her and I some exercise. We were rewarded with cool summer temperatures and a great afternoon trail run. I brought my camera and took some photos of some of the rapids we normally run during spring runoff.

Here are a few of the shots…..
