OVERVIEW

Mulkey Gulch has a variety of sport and mixed routes ranging
from 5.8 to 5.12.  This area is a great afternoon destination from
Missoula or surrounding areas three seasons of the year(Spring,
Summer, and Fall).  It is possible to climb here in the winter on
warm days but there is usually snow on the access road which can
be a problem. The limestone rock provides many slabby moderate
routes as well as some steeper overhanging terrain. I reccomend
bringing 2 ropes, a set of 15-20 quickdraws, a single set of cams,
and a single set of nuts. Tricams and TCU's also work well
supplementing the bolts.
